From 100 B.C. until 1450 AD the Mochica, Lambayeque-Sican and Chimú cultures left their legacy in the form of power objects, tombs, treasures and knowledge with the purpose of passing on this wisdom and today we can contemplate the great buildings they left made with adobe, mud, cane and carob tree beams. These memories remain with the passing of time so that humanity will no forget about their existence.

Almost 1,000 years before the beginning of the Inca Empire one culture, known today as the Mochica, was at its developmental height and prospered in the plain coastal area of Peru. The Mochicas’ art reflects what used to be their activities and living environment. Mochicas’ art belongs to a pre-Columbian style in which we find that each piece has a particular function in a healing ritual.

84 90205 Peru Sipan Hibou ChamanThe priest (or shaman) with his ritual, summons the Apus-Gods, the Kind Spirits, the forces of nature and those who abide in the sacred places in order to bring mental clarity to man so that he can find solutions to spiritual, emotional, mental and physical problems or blockages. The memory of our ancestors remains present in each sacred place where there are hidden objects of great spiritual value, many of which have been desecrated by man in search of material gain. The shaman can use the energy available in these places, considered sacred within the cultural tradition of the north of Peru, because, besides the creation of natural spaces for healing with the energy of Earth and nature, the celebration of rituals throughout time has left in these places a strong energetic impression and the permanent presence of the Kind (or Gentiles). The Kind Spirits belong to the ancient people that was endowed with power and who used to live in the mountains or caves, in direct connection with the Pachamama, the Mother Earth and our Father Universe. That’s why the shaman summons them during the ritual to obtain their help in dangerous or difficult moments.

Now they are buried with their belongings in the Huacas (pre-Colombian tombs) called pyramids. The ancients tell us that whosoever picks up an object that belonged to them without their permission can be cursed by these spirits and this can bring misfortunes in life. The greed of the tomb desecrators has destroyed this great wealth of our forebears, and now it is difficult to rebuild it, given the ignorance and lack of awareness. These people desecrate with the only purpose in mind of selling as many gold pieces, precious stones and ceramic items as they can find just to get a paltry amount of money from the tourist and foreigner visitors. Misfortunes and curses have fallen upon some of them leaving them dead or seriously ill.

The purpose of the shaman is to help men to become conscious and heal their bad ailments. He uses some power objects in his ritual to enhance our spiritual life, to open the way to success and fullness of life, to expand our consciousness and to connect with that great wealth of prosperity, love and health within the human being.

Tucume is well known by its culture, pyramids and also by its folk medicine tradition that spreads throughout the Northern Coast, from Tumbe, border with Ecuador, to Huacho Huaura, around 140 km from Lima. Shamanism is the repository of a millenarian tradition of a profound healing motivation and herbal medicine knowledge. Lambayeque is a privileged area in which this heritage is still alive.

This adventure will last three weeks during which you may live an intense healing experience with Gerardo Pizarro, having direct contact with each sacred place and receiving their energies and power. The itinerary will begin at the catacombs and Pachacamac (Incan Temple) in Lima. Then, we’ll take a bus to Chiclayo, going north, where we will find what the most ancient cultures of this region considered their sacred places. We will visit the tombs and Huacas where the most important figures of the north lay, like the Lord of Sipan. Also we will visit the museum and the herb market in Chiclayo. We will continue towards Tucume to visit the pyramid Huacas and the Cerro Purgatorio (Purgatory Hill) great viewpoint from which Naymlap used to contemplate the beautiful natural landscapes of the region.
In Tucume we will perform a great Shamanic Mesa (Ritual) using the traditional medicine of the north; this will be a complete cleanse with diet for all the participants.

The Shamanic Mesa was different before the Spanish conquest. During that time religious images were not used, the medicine man used power objects called “artes” on his Mesa (table), these were representations of Gods and Goddesses in the universe, warriors or power spirits, precious stones, quartz, gold, silver and copper. The healing plants used were the San Pedro cactus and the “tobacco” for the chingueo, as well as other medicinal herbs and master plants for vision. The shaman uses the force of the elements, the spirit of the Pachamama, the spirit of the Dragon Herb, of the animals, lakes, mountains, fire, stars, the force of the Gods, the Apus and the magic of his Gentiles (ancestors).

Our itinerary will begin in Lima and will continue as follows: Chiclayo, Tucume, Amazon, Cuzco, Aguas Calientes, Machupichu…

In the Amazon, we will experience the daily life, culture and rituals of some of the aboriginal tribes. Next, the journey will take us to Cuzco, where we will perform shamanic ceremonies in the sacred spots where Shamans used to regenerate with the double purification given by the Pachamama and Father Inti. The water fountains and energetic patterns settled in the Cuzco area since ancestral times will allow us to expand the purification reached in the former rituals through further Shaman-guided practices.
Our stop at Aguas Calientes, once we have completed the Cuzco stage, will enfold us with the benefits of the healing power produced by its thermal waters and Inca baths, appointed to be particularly beneficial for individuals undergoing long term energetic work and deep states of purification.
In Machu Picchu we will perform a special ritual to receive the strength of Tihuatana, a natural center of solar power where the potential of the Inti forces remain.

The energy received in this ritual will amplify our consciousness and will enable us to work with the spiritual dimension of our being. Further ceremonies will be performed in the citadel with the forces of Machu Picchu, the Pachamama and other energetic centers, natural sources of healing and energetic development. At this point we will finish our three week adventure journey and shamanic route, returning to Europe via Lima.
